Cairo International Film Festival’s 28th
Round Set To Take Place From
30 November To 10 December
Year after year, the Cairo Film
Festival has exerted its utmost efforts to provide
guests with the best possible experience in the country
of the Pyramids and the Sphinx.
Taking place in the middle of the
Cairo autumn, this year our festival hopefully will
shine bright, and be a ray of sunshine in a difficult
geopolitical time for our region.
As with last year, the Cairo Film
Festival has a guest of honour. After France, it is
Italy’s turn to now be our guest of honour. Italy is a
country, which is part of the Mediterranean Basin, a
cradle of human civilization.
Distinguished by its unique history,
Italy has fascinated the world with its cinema. One can
merely mention the names of Felleni, Rossellini and de
Sica to touch the emotions of lovers of the 7th art. And
let us not forget the Italian stars, such as Sophia,
Claudia and Gina, who fascinate men around the world.
With its wonderful cinema, Italy has provided so much
entertainment for filmgoers.
I wish you all an enjoyable
festival.
